Captain David has been fishing since he was a little boy growing up in rural Texas. Over ten years ago he met Captain Spencer's daughter, and began fishing on Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie  (Santee Cooper Lakes) with Captain Spencer.  After several years of being the Captain's First Mate, Capt. Spencer encouraged him to get his Captains License  and go into business with him.  That's how his passions started S and S Guide Service. Captain Spencer's over 40 years of fishing experiences have taught him the hot spots to fish for Catfish, Crappie and Bream. He looks forward to taking you on a fun, learning, memorable fishing experience on Lake Marion, Moultrie, Diversion Canal and share with you our family fishing traditions that have worked consistently over time.

 Capt. Spencer is now retired. He has been an outdoorsman all of  his life.  He was USCG Approved

with over 40 years experience on Santee Cooper. He has many fond memories of camping on the islands of Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie as a young boy.  His summer vacations were spent roughing it in tents on the islands, fishing all day, and some nights.  He thinks this helped mold him into the person that he has become.  He  has great respect for wildlife and it's habitat.  He believes without some conservation, the future generations may not know the thrill of reeling in a fish and knowing that special feeling.  We are the caretakers for the future generations of outdoorsmen. His influence motivates Capt. David to continue the family fishing traditions.

Our Captain is one of the most experienced around. A U.S. Coast Guard accredited guide, He continues to grown to  build a name for S & S Guide Service in the Santee Cooper Lakes fishing world.
